ACCP Application
Loading...
University at Buffalo offers academically talented high school students an opportunity to complete college courses for full credit while completing their remaining high school requirements. For qualified students, the Advanced College Credit Program (ACCP) offers enrollment throughout the academic year. ACCP students attend University classes requiring a high level of preparation in high school coursework. Students benefit from a wide array of entry-level courses.
ACCP is not intended to replace or take precedence over requirements or offerings available at the secondary level. Enrollment is limited to two courses per semester and course selection is carefully monitored by the program advisor. Admission to the program does not assure admission to the University at Buffalo after high school graduation. Credits earned from University at Buffalo are transferable to regionally accredited public and private colleges and universities.
Admission and advisement are provided jointly by the Office of Admissions and the Honors College. Advisement services and registration procedures will be made available upon admission to the program. Completed applications, including all supporting documents, should be submitted via this form by the recommended deadlines.
Admission and Application Instructions
Demonstrate superior achievement in high school: a competitive high school average, strong performance on standardized tests (PSAT, SAT, or ACT), and competence in relevant courses.
Possess sufficient maturity to benefit from a college experience. In general, accepted applicants will have completed the junior year. Exceptions are considered on an individual basis.
Receive endorsement from the high school counselor, attesting ACCP courses do not replace coursework currently offered at the high school.
Submit a completed application, along with supporting documentation:
high school transcript, including standardized test scores if available
counselor recommendation
personal statement
Recommended filing dates (submit applications as soon as possible, but no later than):
December 1 (for spring admission)
May 1 (fall and summer admission)
